Like the sign says I’d like you to linger a while. You, not the snow. Our town crier is a great source of information about Cape May. I would like this blog to do the same.
After completing the Blogathon in 2014 I felt I was ready to self-host the blog of Cookecapemay.com. Opened the necessary hosting package on FatCow, purchased the correct theme from Obox and successfully migrated all the data.
With thoughtful support from the forum volunteers I even transferred over the WordPress followers into my database. At least I think I have. With any new venture or adventure there is occasionally doubt that creeps in. The purpose of this post is to determine if my former readers and followers are getting my current blog posts on the new platform.
Would you do me a favor? Comment with your thoughts about WordPress premium hosting versus self-hosting?
Let me know if you still get my blog posts in your reader from my self-hosted version of CookeCapeMay.com ?
Thanks for all your support and continued reading.

The extreme southern portions of Cape May County were spared any accumulating precipitation, save for areas of poor drainage. Pittsburgh Avenue and Beach are undergoing outfall pipe replacement to prevent this type of flooding from occurring. Thanks for stopping by and reading. Most of this blog has been relocated to the URL http://www.cookecapemay.com

Blogs about Cape May offer a positive view, which is a pleasant distraction from some of the local less desirable news. I for one am grateful for these bloggers taking the time to share their views and experiences. Read more… Most future posts will be appearing on CookeCapeMay.com
