You know somethings up when the day starts out that you need a hotel for cars.
The Classic Car Club of America held its “regional Grand Classic” here in Cape May this past Saturday. Enthusiasts from both coasts of the country were in town to show, view and judge what are considered some of the finest automobiles in the country. Only six Grand Classic’s are held each year. Cape May’s was the organization’s first.
Entries in the show included, Packards, Cadillacs and Duesenbergs, all listed on the organisations approved car list here.
The intensity of the judges and exhibitors was a clear example of why they are called enthusiasts. The judge shown on the right is Wayne Carini of the popular car show Chasing Classic Cars on the Velocity network. I didn’t recognize Wayne when I checked him in, but found his show listed on the Velocity Channel. The show can be seen Tuesday night at Ten. Grand Classic Car Shows don’t widely advertise except to membership, but they clearly welcomed all who cautiously viewed the collection. When I receive info about the more than forty exhibitors I will update here.
